Welcome to the Health and Physical Education Department Trudi Di Ubaldo is the PE & HE Coordinator. She can be reached at 718-817-7769. Click here to go to the Athletics Department 1. Students must pass one term of Health Instruction and every term of Physical Education. 2. The accepted uniform for Physical Education consists of a T-shirt, sweat shirt (when needed), appropriate gym shorts, socks and sneakers. 3. PE attire should be stored in the locker room. During their PE period, street clothing may be stored in a LOCKED locker in the appropriate locker room. Heavy-duty school locks are available for sale in room 115S (School Store) during lunch periods. The cost of this lock is $12. All students are required to use these heavy-duty locks on the gym lockers to store their gym attire. Sharing of lockers and locks is not permitted. School policy mandates that the only acceptable lock in the locker rooms is the heavy duty school lock purchased from room 115S. Valuables should not be stored in the locker room. Bronx Science is not responsible for any lost or stolen goods. Books, bags, coats, hats, beverages and/or food are not permitted in the Gym. 4. Students who need to be excused from activity for an extended period of time must present to their teacher the appropriate form signed by their doctor. This form entitled "Physicians Recommendation for Physical Activity Adjustment" may be obtained in rm 048D 5. Whenever a student is absent from class a note explaining the absence must be presented within one week following the student's return to class. Absences will count as days of non-participation towards students' grades. |
